Red House in the Winter Wonderland

09/100 of my #100daychallenge.

I’ve been wanting to paint a red house since I started this mini snow series, and today’s the day! I love adding a brilliant pop of color to a muted snow scene.

This is permanent alizarin crimson, which is considered a “cool” blue, but it still looks quite warm compared to it’s surroundings. But maybe that has to do with the cozy cottage vibes?

As a reminder you can see the process video for my daily paintings on Instagram!
