A day in the life of an full time artist | Snowy work day routine, Packing Orders, Streaming

What is it like to be a full time artist?

Well, obviously I wake up, start painting, then paint all day. The whole time I’m listening to good music and eating delicious healthy food, and it’s warm and comfortable and I have lots of space. The annoying thing is that I am constantly interrupted by galleries calling me wanting my artwork.

Ok, seriously though, it’s a little different!

There’s chores, cats to take care of, errands, exercise, post office runs, printing, streaming, writing, planning, looking back, looking forward…and somewhere in there I need to paint.

Need. Yes. The creativity is there, I just need to find time – or MAKE time – to unleash it.

Some days that doesn’t happen until after the typical work day is over, but it’s OK because as long as I get to paint any amount I am happy. Of course, some days I do get to paint for many hours and they are very joyous days!

I felt like sharing some footage from last week. I guess it’s partially just a relaxing background video to keep you company.

I hope this video keeps you company wherever you are in the world.
