Blue Shadows on the Snow

06/100 of my #100daychallenge.

Today is crispy and cold, and quite dark. No happy sunrise colors. So the land has spoken, and I will answer with a monotone painting. I used mostly blue and white, with a tiny hint of black in the river and branches. Most of the white in the foreground is paper showing through, so I used the gouache more like watercolor this time.

And can you spot the cat hair?

Classic.

Also, I forgot to mention previously, but if you want to see process videos for all my sketches, head to my Instagram! I’m trying to include a timelapse with each post.
